Courtesy Bicycles Maintenance Courses- tentative start Feb. 1st, 2012
Courtesy Bicycles will offer two types of classes – a basic course for those just learning bicycle maintenance ($30), and a travel/race day course to teach you how to disassemble/reassemble your bike for travelling and race day ($50). You Never Bike Alone Film Screening- Feb. 2nd, 2012, 7 pm
The documentary You Never Bike Alone follows the course of Critical Mass rides in Vancouver from the early 90s to the present. The film will screen at UWindsor’s Odette Building in Room #108.
Rocket Mountain Biking Club Annual General Meeting- Feb. 5th at 1:00pm.
This meeting is open to all and they welcome any new cyclists to the event and to the club. They’ll be providing pizza and beverages for those who attend. A review of 2011, planning for the future of the club, and board member elections will take place at 2280 Ambassador Drive.
The Lung Association Bike TREK- May 26th & 27th , 2012
A two-day biking adventure through Essex County, to raise funds for the Lung Association. To participate, riders pay a registration fee and raise a minimum amount in pledges. There are three types of treks: Double Century (200km), Century (100km) and Pioneer Ride (25km). Check out last year’s event, for more info.
Ride of Silence Windsor 2012- Wednesday, May 16th, 2012, at 7 pm
After an overwhelmingly successful event last year, Bike Friendly Windsor will once again host a Ride of Silence – a memorial ride through Downtown Windsor, honouring those who have been hurt or killed while cycling. It’s an international event that takes place the same time around the world.
We would like to get involved with promoting bike riding events to or from Amherstburg. How can we help.

There is an annual event called the Bike TREK that rides through Amhertsburg in May and I know that they are looking for help in promoting the event. It is taking place on May 26, 27 , 2012 and you should contact the Windsor Lung Association office.
