Stolen Bike?

This is where we can log stolen bikes. People can leave a comment here as soon as they have a bike stolen and we’ll post the details to the website, and maybe this will speed up recovery time. Also, keeping a log of the locations will help in solving where the criminals are stealing bikes from repeatedly.

Please comment here with all the details, such as those listed below, and anything else you can think of. Feel free to email a photo, if you have one, to bikefriendlywindsor@gmail.com.

Remember, it’s unsafe to try and stop a thief taking a bike. Instead, try and gather as many details as you can (bike details, and physical appearance of the thief), and report it to the police. You can also post about what you saw here, and maybe some other reader will recognize it as their missing bike.

White Giant Sedona Dx women specific bike stolen last month (August 10th) at east side marios in front of tecumseh mall around 2-3pm. Locked with kryptonite cable lock. Water bottle holder, flea LED head and taillight. 26″ wheels, small frame (approx 16.5″). Always lock your bike with a good U lock…cable ones are useless. I learned the hard way. If you see this bike kindly kick the persons ass.

My bike got stolen today (June 7, 2010) from the 7/11 on the corner of Ottawa and Parent at 730 pm. It’s a red supercycle mountain bike. The seat on it is a lady schwinn all day rider. Wide and cushy! The only really defining feature is the reflective halloween stickers on the top cross bar. It’s got a black water bottle holder with no water bottle in it. It wasn’t locked up, so the orange lock is probably still attached.
If anyone finds it, I would love a phone call. I totally rely on my bike for all transportation. 5195676278

Great news, I found my bike. My wife came across web site call crimereports.com where it list the police reports in an area. It showed my stolen report & one of a bike found the next day 1 block away. I called the police & it turned out to be my bike. The police entered the serial number with o’s & I called it in with zeros so it did not match…I picked it up today. You should check out the site or maybe go to http://www.cpic-cipc.ca & enter your serial number with 0′s & zeros to see if it is a match.
