1) What are your views on cycling in Windsor?
I believe that more should be done to open up traffic corridors. That is why I proposed the tunneling through the train over pass on Dougall.
2) Do you own a bike? How often do you ride it?
Yes, I own a bike. I take my kids to trails and use the Razor scooter as often as I can during the summer.
Trust me, my kids love it.
3) Recent research shows that 65% of Windsorites have ridden a bike in the last year. What do you think can be done to get more Windsorites cycling more often?
This is really a personal choice. Many citizens don’t feel safe about riding with city traffic, so encouraging them to make use of rural trails is one way.
I noticed a lot of older people who have issues with balance use recumbent bikes. I think we could encourage that.
4) What do you think needs to be done to make Windsor more bicycle friendly?
5) What are your views on enforcing cycling laws in Windsor?
Cyclists must obey the rules of the road to protect themselves and drivers.
6) Are you willing to make a commitment to bike to at least 4 city council meetings per year, to lead by example?
I’d like to tell you yes, and I should, but that will be a promise I can’t keep.
I will try.
How about freezing taxes instead?
