On June 12th, 2010, Bike Friendly Windsor hosted a screening of the film Veer. The event took place at the Milk Coffee Bar in downtown Windsor, and was held as part of the city’s Bike Month celebrations.
Veer is a documentary that offers a peek into bicycle culture by profiling five people whose lives are tied to cycling. Through their stories, the film explores the culture of bicycling that is growing in major cities and which has come to include concepts of social activism, community-building and the arts.
Veer premiered at the Victoria Film Festival, won Best Documentary at the Calgary Underground Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Documentary at the San Joaquin International Film Festival.
